The Akire Palace, Ikire Kingdom, has formally announced the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Olatunde Falabi Lambeloye III, the Akire of Ikire.
According to the palace, Kabiyesi joined his ancestors after a life devoted to service, peace, and the preservation of the cultural heritage of Ikire Kingdom. His reign was characterized by wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the unity and development of his people.
Oba Lambeloye III was a highly respected monarch who upheld the values of Yoruba tradition while fostering harmonious relationships with government authorities, community leaders, and residents of the kingdom. His passing marks a profound loss to Ikire Kingdom and the traditional institution in Osun State.
The palace noted that further details regarding burial rites and official palace activities will be communicated in due course.
As the kingdom mourns this irreplaceable loss, prayers are offered for the peaceful repose of Kabiyesi’s soul and for strength and comfort for the royal family, chiefs, and the entire people of Ikire Kingdom.
