Osun State Governor, His Excellency Senator Ademola Adeleke, has approved the immediate release of N4 billion to settle the retirement benefits of workers who retired under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS).
The governor’s decision is part of his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of retirees and ensuring timely payment of their entitlements. The funds will be disbursed to eligible beneficiaries to alleviate financial hardships faced by pensioners in the state.
In a statement released by the governor’s office, Adeleke emphasized his dedication to resolving lingering pension issues and upholding workers' rights. He assured that his administration would continue to prioritize the welfare of both active and retired civil servants.
This latest approval follows previous interventions by the state government to clear pension backlogs and implement reforms in the state’s pension system. Retirees under the CPS are urged to follow official channels for updates on the disbursement process.
